About William M Greene

Dr. Greene graduated from Wake Forest University with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He completed medical school at the University of South Florida in Tampa, and completed his residency in general psychiatry at the University of Florida. He went on to complete a fellowship in addiction medicine at University of Florida as well.

In 2007, Dr. Greene joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, Division of Addiction Medicine. He currently serves as Attending Physician of our 18 bed drug and alcohol detoxification unit at UF Health Shands Psychiatric Hospital. Dr. Greene is board certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine, the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and also certified by the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
