Primary Care Providers for Pediatric Psychiatry

Clinicians completed Needs Assessment Questionnaires and were consulted during pre-readiness, onsite visits and the preferred method of training delivery is through webinar. As such, trainings will be conducted on a monthly basis via Zoom, in one hour sessions during clinician lunch hours. Applicable modules will include power point presentations that will be distributed ahead of time and screen shared throughout the training session. (De-identified) case conference discussions will be added every third module.
Module 1 – Use of screening tools in the pediatric practice (PSC-17, PHQ, C-SSRS, others) and COVID related mental health issues– April 15th, 12 noon
Module 2 – Depression diagnosis and treatment, suicide response– May 13th, 12 noon
Module 3 – General principles of psychopharmacology (including black box warnings for medications, education of families and kids)- June 17th, 12 noon
Module 4 – Anxiety Disorders, OCD, Tics, trichotillomania, elective mutism- July 15th, 12 noon
Module 5 – Complex ADHD- management and co-morbidities – August 27th, 12 noon
Module 6 – Autism spectrum disorder identification and management September 16th, 12 noon
Module 7 – Adolescent substance abuse and motivational enhancement- October 14th, 12 noon
Module 8 – PTSD, ACES, and teaching resiliency- November 18th, 12 noon
Module 9 – Toddler Behavioral problems and pediatric Insomnia- December 16th, 12 noon
Module 10 – Office-based interventions (MI, behavioral counseling)- January 20th, 2021, 12 noon
Module 11 – Psychosis identification, evaluation, and management- February 17th, 2021, 12 noon
Module 12 – Mood Disorder (Bipolar, DMDD), aggression, Self Injurious Behavior (SIB)- March 17th, 2021, 12 noon
Module 13 – Academic Dysfunction and 504/IEP advocacy/ empowerment- April 14th, 2021, 12 noon
