JOB DESCRIPTION

University of Florida College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry is currently recruiting for an Assistant/Associate/Professor, part-time 0.80 FTE, non-tenure faculty position. This position will be located at our University of Florida Center for Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine satellite facility in Vero Beach, FL.  Candidate will be responsible for providing outpatient treatment and developing treatment protocols. This position will serve a critical role in the clinical, teaching, and scholarly life of the Department and the College of Medicine.  Candidate will be involved with teaching, mentoring, and training  environment.  

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate must have a PhD or PsyD, licensed in the state of Florida.  Experience in Addiction Medicine, Child and Adolescent Therapy, or CBT is desirable.

We have a team of driven faculty and eager trainees who provide consultation-liaison inpatient psychiatry services to an 1162 bed medical center. The Department is dedicated to integrated and trauma informed care, health equity, excellence in resident and student education, behavioral neuroscience, telehealth, and research excellence.

This consultation-liaison psychiatry faculty position is 1.0 FTE (Full Time) non-tenure track and includes direct patient care, teaching, and supervision predominantly on medical/surgical inpatient floors. The rank of the appointment is open and will be commensurate with the experience and professional accomplishments of the selected applicant.

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Florida College of Medicine is currently recruiting for a full-time, multi-mission track Assistant/Associate/Professor faculty position in the Adult Psychiatry Division. This position will primarily provide psychiatric inpatient care at our freestanding specialty facility, UF Shands Psychiatric Hospital. In addition this position may also provide outpatient services at our Springhill Adult clinic, with ample opportunities for clinical teaching of residents and medical students. The faculty member will serve an important academic role by contributing to clinical program development, educational initiatives as well as possibly contributing to clinical research programs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Clinical Assistant/Associate/Professor (68039)

The University of Florida College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry is currently recruiting for a Child Psychiatrist to fill a faculty position in the Child and Adolescent Division. This is a full-time, (1.0 FTE), multi-mission, non-tenure track faculty position. This position will have a critical role on the Pediatric Psychiatry Consult Service, providing consultation to UF Shands Children’s Hospital on a half-time basis. This position will also involve coverage of child/ adolescent inpatient services and provision of outpatient services and community-based for child patients in the Department of Psychiatry. This position will play a key role in teaching students, residents, and scholarship in promoting the missions of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Florida.  Rank will be commensurate with qualifications.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Florida is recruiting for a faculty position at the Assistant and/or Associate Professor level with clinical and research expertise in autism and neurodevelopmental disorders.

Frequent inter-disciplinary collaborations are a goal of the Department and of its affiliated Centers and facilitate joint learning experiences and clinical opportunities. Both Centers include faculty members, postdoctoral fellows, interns, graduate students, and undergraduate trainees from a variety of disciplines, colleges, and departments throughout the University of Florida. Their mission is to conduct interdisciplinary clinical and translational research in autism, neurodevelopmental disorders, and OCD, anxiety, and related disorders that sets the frame for outstanding evidence-based cross-disciplinary clinical services. Individuals within the program work closely with the following specialties, among others: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Adult Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Pathology, Physical Therapy, Psychology, and Pediatric Genetics.

The Department’s research program cuts across mental and behavioral health to study causes, pathophysiology, treatment processes and outcomes in evidence-based psychological and psychiatric treatment with children, adults, and their families. The applicant will develop his/her own area of externally funded research, in collaboration with established faculty in the Department of Psychiatry, UF Health CAN, COARD and throughout UF.

The position is in a major medical center in Gainesville Florida, a pleasant community with a modest cost of living and high quality of life.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants with an M.D. who are board certified or board eligible in adult psychiatry or child psychiatry.

The position requires clinical and research experience with autism and/or related neurodevelopmental disorders in adults, adolescents, and/or children and will be an integral part of developing research programs, both in the UF Health Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment (UF Health CAN), and in the UF Center for OCD, Anxiety and Related Disorders (COARD).
