About Sang-Wahn Koo

Dr. Koo joined the faculty in 2017 as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at UF Health Center for Psychiatry and Addiction -Vero Beach. Dr. Koo is board certified in general psychiatry and in child and adolescent psychiatry. He attended medical school at Yonsei University College of Medicine in Seoul, South Korea. He completed his residency in psychiatry at Griffin Memorial Hospital, Norman, Oklahoma and fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Missouri. Throughout his training he developed an interest in autism spectrum disorder, depression, and schizophrenia as well as sleep disorders. Dr. Koo joined the Brian Allgood Army Community Hospital in Seoul, South Korea in September of 2015 as a contract psychiatrist and helped the service men and women as well as their family members with mental health issues including PTSD.
