Michaela K Hogan, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, CNE

Michalea Hogan is a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with clinical practice in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Florida. She provides psychiatric clinical supervision to PMHNP students. DNP didactic courses include individual, family, and group psychotherapy. BSN didactic course includes Professional Nursing Transformation, a capstone undergraduate seminar focused on quality improvement process. In addition to didactic and clinical courses, Hogan serves as faculty mentor on DNP projects, EMBRACE Scholar projects, and Honors Theses.

Hogan also serves within the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, including Research and Scholarship Council, Child and Adolescent Council, and as President-elect of the FL Chapter Board. UF College of Nursing (UF CON) shared governance leadership includes serving as Senator in the UF Faculty Senate (2025-2028), President of the Faculty Organization (2023-2025), and Chair of the Academic Affairs Committee (2022-2023).

Hogan was honored to participate in the 2023-2024 National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) Leadership Mentoring Program. She led UF CON DNP-PMHNP program as Track Coordinator (2020-2024) contributing to CCNE Re-Accrediation (2021) and ensuring student success throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
