Kevin-Nicholas
 

Kevin recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Santa Fe College and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics from Florida State University. He brings over seven years of valuable experience working in financial institutions and customer service roles.

Kevin's professional background includes his recent role as a Fiscal Assistant II at the University of Florida, where he was responsible for processing travel authorizations, expense reports, and vendor transactions. He also has hands-on experience with systems like PeopleSoft and UF Marketplace, as well as strong skills in data analysis, critical thinking, and effective communication.

Kevin will be overseeing our assets and computers, approving UF Go transactions, and assisting with effort reporting. We are excited to have Kevin on board and look forward to his contributions to our team. Outside of work, Kevin is uncommitted to a variety of hobbies but has a particular passion for movies and television. He strives to stay active as a fitness enthusiast and is also exploring bicycle commuting around Gainesville. Kevin is eager to help wherever needed. Please join me in welcoming him to the team, and don’t hesitate to reach out to introduce yourself and offer your support as he gets settled.

John-Dwyer
 

Richard “John” Dwyer is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He previously served as an HR Generalist at the UF Health Cancer Center, University of Florida. Before joining UF, John worked as a professional recruiter, specializing in Accounting & Finance and Information Technology. With over seven years of experience in recruitment, onboarding, and account management, he brings a wealth of knowledge to his role.

In his new position, John will oversee TEAMs recruitment, onboarding, SPI requests, reclassification, UF Engage, and FMLA tracking for TEAMs employees. He will also manage the processing of foreign hires and their associated paperwork, handle payroll tasks including reviewing preliminary and final pay lists, and troubleshoot payroll entry issues. Additionally, he will serve as the department liaison for credentialing and as the DSA.

An avid sports enthusiast, John has a particular passion for football. He and his wife enjoy traveling, with their most recent adventure taking them to Santorini. He also loves good BBQ and discovering live music wherever he can find it. John finds great fulfillment in working in Human Resources, as it allows him to help others achieve success.

Beverly-Stoutamire
 

Beverly Stoutamire serves as the Supported Employment and Education (SEE) Coordinator for the NAVIGATE program, working alongside Dr. Teaford to support students in achieving their employment and educational goals. With a longstanding specialization in disabilities and intellectual disabilities, Beverly brings a wealth of expertise to her role.

Since 2018, she has been a Job Developer with Project SAINT and Adult Education at Santa Fe College, where she advised, advocated for, and instructed students with unique abilities. Her work focused on equipping students with the skills necessary for employment, independent living, and success in today's workforce, including the development of essential technical computer skills.

Outside of work, Beverly enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and listening to music.

David-Moore
 

David Moore is a dedicated mental health professional with over a decade of experience supporting individuals and families in need. After graduating from Gainesville High School in 2005, David served four years in the United States Marine Corps as a Basic Rifleman, completing two deployments. Inspired by the challenges faced by the veteran community, he transitioned to a career in mental health and substance use, earning a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Saint Leo University in 2021 and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Walden University in 2024.

David's professional expertise spans working with at-risk youth and supporting chronically homeless adults with dual diagnoses. Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and three children.

Congratulations and Welcome Dr. Nutley!

Dr. Sara Nutley recently defended her thesis and celebrated this milestone by participating in the December 13th graduation ceremony.

She is joining the UF Department of Psychiatry as a Postdoctoral Associate, where she will conduct research on obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, anxiety, and other psychiatric conditions. Her work emphasizes epidemiology, pathophysiology, and clinical presentation. Her responsibilities will include statistical analysis, data preparation for grant proposals, development of new research projects, authoring peer-reviewed publications, grant writing, and presenting findings at scientific conferences. In addition, Dr. Nutley will mentor undergraduate, graduate, and medical students, as well as other trainees.

January 7 | FRC Recognition Day at Men's Basketball

The Gator men’s basketball match on Tuesday, Jan. 7 vs the Tennessee Volunteers, is designated as a UF Health entitlement game.

UF Health will be recognized during public announcements and on video boards and/or scoreboards at various times before and during the game. Before the game, staff from the UF Health Florida Recovery Center will play games and interact with fans.

The announcer will invite Scott Teitelbaum, M.D., director of the UF Health Florida Recovery Center, onto the court before the game to deliver the game ball and be recognized.

Data Blitz Presentation Submissions:
The Data Blitz will kick off the conference on February 7th from 9:00 – 10:00 am. Presenters will have 7 minutes for their talk and 3 minutes for questions.

Poster Abstract Submission: The poster session will round out the science portion of the conference on February 7th from 1:00 – 3:00 pm

Every abstract must contain the following components: title – limited to 20 words; text – limited to 350 words; layout – submitted with the following sections: Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusions. Submission closes January 15th, 2025 and acceptances will be sent shortly after the deadline.
