Today is UF’s seventh annual Gator Giving Day! Gators everywhere are coming together to make an impact—and this year, we have an incredible opportunity to support the Florida Recovery Center (FRC).
Why Give to FRC?
- Expanding Access to Care – A state-of-the-art FRC campus opens in Fall 2025, featuring two new residential buildings, increasing capacity from 80 to 138 beds—a 40% expansion—so we can serve more patients struggling with addiction. This growth will make FRC the largest academic-affiliated addiction treatment program in the southeastern U.S.
- A Healing Environment – The new campus includes a pool, gym, yoga and outdoor recreation areas, and even a pickleball court to support holistic recovery.
- Modernized Treatment Facilities – Renovations are already underway to provide enhanced addiction evaluations, therapy sessions, and outpatient care.
The Challenge: Your Gift Goes Further!
Carl and Joan Allison, in memory of their son Dr. Jared Carl Allison, have pledged $100,000 to support FRC. For every 10 donors who give to FRC, the Allisons will donate an additional $25,000, up to their full pledge.
