Description

The University of Florida College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry is currently recruiting for a Psychiatrist for the Adult Psychiatry Division.  This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), multi-mission, non-tenure track faculty position. This position will serve an active role in the clinical, educational, and scholarly life of the Department and the College of Medicine. Duties will include providing consult liaison services, inpatient and outpatient care to patients needing quality care at Shands Psychiatric Hospital and UF Health at Springhill Clinic in Gainesville, FL. Individual will also serve as an important academic faculty as both a teacher and mentor for medical students, interns, training residents, and fellows.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a M.D. degree, Board Certified and/or Board Eligible in Psychiatry and able to obtain a state of Florida Medical License.

The University of Florida College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine Division are currently recruiting for a Neuropsychologist.

This is a full-time, non-tenure, multi-mission track position at the University of Florida’s Recovery Center (FRC). Rank will be determined by level of education and experience.

Duties will include performing neuropsychological evaluations in complex neuropsychiatric populations with particular focus on the neurocognitive effects of substance use disorders, and involvement in forensic assessments in an expanding forensic program. The preferred candidate will have demonstrated expertise in the evaluation of substance use disorders and the range of co-occurring conditions as well as experience in forensic assessments in civil and criminal legal cases. This position, located within an academic health center, also requires active participation in the training of residents and fellows with the expectation of developing and sustaining a strong scholarly profile including the development of collaborative research projects and publications. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated record of clinical excellence, research or teaching interests. Board certification or eligibility is required (ABCN).

Qualifications

Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree, licensed or eligible to obtain a Florida license.

Candidate with Board eligibility in Neuropsychology, APA approved graduated program and/or internship in Clinical Psychology are encouraged to apply.

About the Department of Psychiatry

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Florida College of Medicine is one of the largest multifaceted psychiatry programs in the United States centered within a major academic health center. The Department of Psychiatry currently has approximately 70 faculty members, 40 residents and 15 fellows including child and adolescent, forensic and addiction fellowships, with office settings in 10 facilities. Inpatient services have a total of 91 beds available and cover multiple specialties including addiction, adult, geriatric, child and adolescent, adolescent eating disorders and neurostimulation. A wide range of outpatient services are offered in several convenient locations and serve the entire age spectrum from preschool children to seniors. Additionally we provide specialty services in the areas of pain, and weight management that meet patients’ needs and reflect our three central missions: patient care, research and education.
