Zachary Simon, a PhD student with Marcelo Febo, PhD’s lab has been accepted into the Society for Neuroscience’s (SfN) Scholar Program where underrepresented graduate or postdoctoral researchers have the opportunity to join this award-winning program to enhance their career and build community.
The Neuroscience Scholars Program (NSP) is a two-year online training program which provides resources focused on career advancement, the research process, and cutting-edge scientific content including live events and webinars, online groups and mentors.
“Selection of Zachary to the highly competitive SfN Neuroscience Scholars Program is a great recognition of his unwavering effort to become an independent scientist one day. Since joining my laboratory Zachary has excelled in his research training, academic performance, and has participated in activities such as outreach and mentoring. He has proposed a very interesting and timely project looking at apolipoprotein E genotype on white matter and functional connectivity in the mouse brain. The NSP program is a wonderful venue to broaden his scientific network and will certainly open doors for Zachary as he makes his way to his next stage of training.”
