The Indo-American Psychiatric Association (IAPA) held their Annual Meeting and Banquet Dinner during the American Psychiatric Association Meeting in San Francisco at the Marines’ Memorial Club.
PGY-3 Jeena Kar, DO participated in the IAPA poster session and was awarded first place in the poster session with her poster titled “Osteopathic Practice in Psychiatry: Integrating a Whole Body Approach into Mental Health”.
The IAPA was established to provide a forum for psychiatrists of Asian-Indian origin to consolidate professional identity, develop skills in addressing the multicultural mental health needs, and establish a network for the exchange of information, obtain mentorship opportunities and leave a legacy for subsequent generations.
