Dr. Pumariega receives Honorary Fellowship at World Congress of Social Psychiatry
Andres Pumariega, MD was elected by the President and Executive Committee of the World Association for Social Psychiatry (WASP) as an Honorary Fellow of WASP in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the health and well-being of the people and the advancement of Social Psychiatry.
Dr. Pumareiga was awarded the highest honor given by WASP at the 23rd World Congress of Social Psychiatry in Bucharest, Romania October 25 – 28, 2019. During the Congress, Dr. Pumariga also presented “Acculturation, Cultural Identity, and Mental Health: Implications for Post-Modern Youth” as well as participated in a symposium. He was also named Chair of the Section on Child and Youth Mental Health.
