On June 1st the Department of Psychiatry held their staff retreat at Splitz.
The retreat kicked off with a welcome from Department Administrator, Marika Brigham followed by a team building exercise to determine teams. After lunch, Ronda Mitchell, Training Coordinator for the University of Florida’s Training and Organizational Development office taught the Attitude Radiating Possibilities course. Participants learned to transform old attitudes of negativity and doubt into new attitudes of courage and possibility. She also taught participants to focus on “what you can control or influence and how you choose to respond to situations”. After the course, the teams took to the lanes for some friendly competition.
