An event aimed at reducing the stigma against mental illness through education.
The Fourth Annual Stop the Stigma! event was held at Veteran’s Memorial Park over the weekend. The Department of Psychiatry and UF Health were there along with several other local health organizations to provide education to the public in an aim to reduce the stigma of mental health. This was a free community-wide, family friendly event with live music from local radio station KISS 105.3 and activities including the UF Health Psychiatry sponsored bounce house, face painting, and rock wall climbing.
