"Aviv Itzhaki, from Las Vegas, NV. St. Georges University for Medical School.” People will always ask why you chose Psychiatry, but you will rarely find someone who will give you an honest answer. Well here I go… It was the only field I enjoyed reading about in medical school, and I mean true enjoyment. The patients always have a good story. And... THE LIFE STYLE IS FANTASTIC.
So why did I choose UF?… First, the residents here are great across the board, PGY-1 through PGY-4. I’m so thankful that my intern class is fantastic. Second, this program allows you to have a life outside of residency. Most of all, its Florida… When you’re done with work at 5pm, the sun is out, and every apartment complex has a pool. When it comes down to it, residency is what you make of it. Go with your gut instinct.
