Addiction Medicine at the University of Florida offers comprehensive treatment for alcohol and drug abuse problems and dependence through the Florida Recovery Center.
The Florida Recovery Center combines the established principles of recovery and evidence-based addiction treatments with the vast knowledge and capabilities of a leading academic medical center—all in the comfort of a nurturing and protective environment.
Our facility provides a variety of treatment programs in a private and serene setting. Calling upon the skills of UF addictionologists and psychiatrists and licensed behavioral health counselors, treatment encompasses the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of recovery followed by the well established and proven 12-step method.
Patients admitted to the program receive a number of comprehensive evaluations, which may include dietary assessments, psychiatric evaluations and neuropsychological testing. Through this unique multidisciplinary assessment process, state-of-the-art treatment protocols, cognitive behavioral therapies and inclusive family therapy, we can and do help patients recover.
