VA hosts CME event for MIAW

Attendees gather for the start of the VA CME event, part of Mental Illness Awareness Week

The Malcom Randall VA Medical Center hosted a CME event for Mental Illness Awareness Week.

Participants could earn up to eight CME credit hours. Sessions included topics such as “Moving Beyond the Stigma of Mental Health Medications”, “Arts in Health”, “The Importance of Sleep”, and others.

Several local organizations set up tables at the event to provide information to participants about mental health services available in the community.
