Jacqueline Hobbs, MD, PhD receives Outstanding Safety Clinical Champion Award at the Patient Safety & Quality Week Heroes Recognition Dinner

Jacqueline Hobbs, MD, PhD was recognized as the 2017 Outstanding Safety Clinical Champion at the Heroes Recognition Dinner during Patient Safety and Quality Week.

Dr. Hobbs is the Physician Director of Quality for the Department of Psychiatry. She recognizes the importance of incorporating quality and safety in residency training. One of the ways she accomplishes this is with her “Tuesday Tips for Quality and Safety”. In 2010 she started the Department of Psychiatry Quality Improvement Day where residents work with faculty mentors on projects pertaining to safety and quality improvement and present their projects in a poster session at the end of Patient Safety and Quality Week.
