March 14th – 18th was Patient Safety & Quality Week at UF Health. This annual quality and safety event is held each year at a variety of UF Health locations and the College of Medicine with several events that focus on the quality and safety of patient care.
Thursday, March 17th residents from the Department of Psychiatry presented their quality and safety posters with other residents from the College of Medicine at the UF Health Shands Cancer Hospital. The exhibit showcases ongoing collaborative projects across UF Health focused on improving important aspects of patient safety and quality.
Friday, March 18th the Department of Psychiatry held their Annual Quality Improvement Day. This year the 6th annual event was held at UF Health Shands Psychiatric Hospital. The format for Quality Improvement Day was changed to a poster session where each of the six groups had the opportunity to present their posters to faculty and staff who then voted on the posters. The winners were announced at a reception immediately following the voting period.
This was “the best ever Quality Improvement Day for the department. ”
